Loving in a World full of Hatred
Perhaps one of the most difficult answers to the commandment of Jesus to “love our neighbors as ourselves” in a world full of evil and hatred, polarized by different standards of thinking and belief, is in the key to our perception of God and His love for us.
We are told to guard our hearts during the last days when men and women will be lovers of themselves. “But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come, for men will be lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power. Avoid such men as these.” (2Tim:31-5) If that’s not a summary of today’s world, I don’t know what is. They have a form of godliness (religious people) who also denies its power.
In other words, they deny the deity of Jesus. They deny Jesus is the only begotten Son of God. They deny Jesus blood cleanses us for all sin and that He satisfied God for the penalty of our sins. They deny He arose from the grave. They deny He is the only way, the truth, and the life and no man can come to the Father but through Him. They deny that healing in Jesus name exist today. They deny our power over all of the enemy, even demons, as Jesus Himself told us that we have. These unbelieving souls with wicked hearts and dark souls have been deceived by the devil and his host of demons who have crept into many churches today around the world. These men and women who stand in the pulpits of many churches spew forth the doctrines of demons while their congregations lap up the lies like a dog returning to his vomit. ”For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires and turn away their ears from the truth and will turn aside to myths (2Tim 4:3)” And so it is today, the proof is everywhere, the sheep have left their Sheppard’s and the Sheppard’s are leading them straight into hell for slaughter. If any of the above is taught in a church you attend, get out now, while you can, before you mind is totally seared and your heart becomes hard and dark.
God has never been about religion. God is about relationship and love. A great majority of churches today are teaching that Gods love is conditional. That’s a pure demonic lie. Churches are misrepresenting His love for us, and that is the main reason that Christians are so judgmental and harsh toward other people. Whether we realize it or not, we tend to treat people the way we believe God is treating us. God does not love us because we are lovely, or because we read the bible, or because we go to church, or because we give to church or the poor or even do our best to keep His commandants. All those things are conditional, and the truth is He loves us unconditionally. Although those things are good, it has nothing to do with Him loving us more because we do them or less because we don’t do them.
Even evangelism is not the sole purpose of our existence; but we should share the love of God and truth of Jesus to anyone and everyone we can. The Key and answer is found in Revelation 4:11:“Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” Should we not praise and worship and surrender to the very one who created us and loved us so much that He send His only begotten Son to die for our sins so we can have relationship with Him? The purpose of all creation is to give God pleasure because He is pure love and light. That is His purpose still today. God wanted someone to love and in return love Him back voluntarily with their whole heart.
Religion turns people into human doers instead of human beings! When the focus of doing becomes the tie that binds us to God, then God’s love is no longer unconditional. It’s not what you do, it’s the word of God you believe in your heart that moves Him. God never will act on your behalf because of what you do or don’t do based on your performance. He acts on your faith released from your heart and mind towards Him. But His love is unconditional and forever towards you. So why would we hold others (our neighbors) to a different standard? Why would we love based only on performance? God forgive us! If He loves us in such a way, then we should love others in the same way! That’s another reason marriages are destroyed and families are separated and estranged, because the love is not real, but based on performance, just like religion. Anyone who tries to live by the law falls from grace because it’s not about you or me; it’s about Jesus and what He did for us. Living by laws makes the grace of God of no effect. I didn’t say living by standards does, but living by rules of the law.
God looks and sees our heart, not our outward appearance and performance. He looks on our hearts. We cannot look at other people’s hearts; only God can do that, God forgive us for judging others when we don’t have a clue why they act the way they do or know the temptations or trials they have endured. God is still very concerned about our actions and behavior and it’s not ok to lie, or steal or to fornicate or commit adultery or do any other sin. The truth is those things are the by- product or results of a lack of relationship with our Father who is in heaven.
Here is wisdom; if you love God with all your heart, soul, and mind and your neighbor as yourself, you will not sin and break any commandants! There is no law for love. We are under grace and Jesus fulfilled the law. But hear me on this; if you continue to believe God is judging you according to your performance, you will never fully receive His love. I didn’t say He would not love you, but that you will not receive it and understand it. Love is a decision, otherwise it would not have been a command, and it would only have been a desire of the Lord. But Jesus said “A NEW COMMANDMENT I GIVE YOU”, so guess what; it’s up to you and me to love. Many of you were raised up in unloving homes with abusive parents and to understand love is hard for you. Many of you were also raised up in religious and legalistic churches that hammered you with the law and did not teach love and grace; so it’s very hard for you to comprehend God’s love not based on your performance.
The enemy thwarted all of us in areas of our lives growing up and even after; in marriages and jobs and family relationships. But Gods arm is not short that He cannot save. There is nothing you have done or been a part of in the past or even in the present that the grace and love of God through Jesus blood cannot save and heal you. No matter what hurts or pains or bitterness or resentments grabbed hold of you in the past, and lives in your heart even today, you can be free with the love of God through His Son. Open up and let His love reign in your heart. In your humanness, you can’t love if you have no love to give. But that’s where our loving God comes in. Ask God to show and flow His love to you like a river and baptize you in His love. Ask Him to fill you with His love and peace so that you can begin to love others as He commanded you to do. For me, it has been a long struggle in my life, and the willingness did not come easy, but it came. Not because of anything I did, but because of Gods great love for me that became alive in my heart through His word. “And He sent His word and healed them.” And so it is and can be for you as well.
If God knows all our thoughts and everything is being recorded in the books in heaven for judgment day,(he must laugh at our computers), then don’t you realize every word you say is recorded and every thought is written down because He looks at the heart? And isn’t it wonderful that by praying Romans 10:10 that we are forgiven by Jesus shed blood? The records of our sins past, present and future are wiped away by grace through faith in Jesus blood on cavalry. How great is that? Our spirit is sealed for the day of our redemption (Eph 4:30). Our flesh is weak but our spirit is born again and new and without sin. It is sin in our soulish man that sins (our mind, flesh and emotions) as Paul says in Romans. But the spirit gives life and Jesus says “you must be born again to enter the kingdom of heaven”, so religion will get you hell but the free gift of God will get you heaven. If every word is know by God then He hears you when you pray. So now you can believe He hears you. Say to Him; “Father in heaven forgive my sins. I believe Jesus died for me and rose from the dead and He is Lord. Father I believe it with all my heart. Now Father baptize me in your Holy Spirit as you promised and baptize me in your love and come live in me. I surrender my life to you; I give you my mind, my body, my soul and everything I am or have with my whole heart and now as your word says I am now born again.” Then pray “Father I ask you to keep me from deception of all kinds during these last days and give me courage and the heart of a lion. Finally Lord give me wisdom to make the correct decisions that will affect me, and my family and those who will cross my path in this life, In Jesus name, Amen.
And as soon as it is possible get baptized as Jesus commanded. It does not matter where, in your swimming pool, or a river or lake or at church. You get baptized because you are born again, not to be born again, that can only happen from your heart by faith in the cleansing blood of Jesus. Water can’t cleanse you sins, only the blood of Jesus does that…….You will notice in the book of Acts every time someone believed and was born again, they got baptized right away. It represents the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for every believer…….Find a church where the Spirit of God moves pray and read your bible daily; not as a ritual, but to get to know God better and understand His great love for you….
