In the year 2020

There’s never been a time in our life when so much negativity swirls around almost every facet of our lives. The news cycle is the premier culprit of all this insane narrative. It funnels down to social media where millions are greeted to a treasure cove of lies and speculation of coming catastrophes including war with Russia or China or Iran or North Korea. Next is the economy and banking system are due to collapse at any moment. On and on it goes, climate change being the major factor that will destroy the earth. False premises have been perpetuated since Al Gores “ inconvenient truth” movie to a recently deceived and programmed little girl meant to scare and rile up the public. However; the Bible says “As long as the earth endures, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease.” (Genesis 8:22) if you want to know how everything else transpires read the Bible especially the New Testament and the book of Revelation, it’s all in there, maybe not all the specifics but a Capsule view of all the entire prophecies and end of the age.

It’s gonna get rough for sure but many things must take place first, our requirement is to stay connected with our father in Heaven through His Son, King Jesus and that must be done with the Holy Spirit who lives inside us and will never leave us, trying our best to walk in the light as He is in the light and do that by “Loving God with all our heart and soul and strength and mind and your neighbor as yourself” Jesus said “do this and you shall live”( Luke 10:28)

Several verses and parables describe the wicked being destroyed when Jesus comes back. Bundled up and thrown into the fire. The righteous are the ones who remain but not for long as the angels gather up the righteous and escort them to heaven. The resurrection of the dead when the graves open is the resurrection of both the wicked and the righteous at the same time (sorry there’s no secret rapture) “But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief.”(1 Thess.5:4) the wicked go to eternal damnation and the righteous go to the new heaven and new earth where the new Jerusalem sits coming down from the father of lights and so shall we ever be with the Lord so “ Comfort one another with these words”

So what do we do in 2020 when we see so much evil and sorcery and hate and perversion going on all around us? Jesus said ” occupy until I come”( Luke 19:13). What does that mean? It means keep on keeping on stay on track live life to the fullest in Christ knowing He’s coming again.

Don’t get caught up in all the hype, the news, the social media and all the negativity being spewed across the airwaves and internet, renew your mind by reading the word and pray always for He cares for you. “May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
