The Ministry of Reconciliation Given to Us
“Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corin.5: 18-21) Don’t receive the grace of God in vain, now is the acceptable time—now is the day of salvation.
50% of believers no longer attend church, why? There are several reasons. Through the storms of life, many Christians have had many failures; one of the biggest ones is divorce and for many more than once. Satan is a liar and constantly condemns those who have failed that God no longer loves them. The thoughts of sermons once heard that divorce is sin and remarrying is adultery blasts the senses and condemns their souls to hell because of what they did. Jesus never said divorce was an unforgiveable sin. It is not unforgiveable! All sin is forgivable when you come to God with a sincere heart and repent and give your heart back to God.
When God says “and MY PEOPLE who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2Chron 7:14) So is God a liar? Never! When people return to God with a humble heart admit their mistakes, ask forgiveness, HE FORGIVES! Now to anyone who has been through a divorce, turn back to God, He loves you IN SPITE OF YOURSELF, NOT BASED ON YOUR PERFORMANCE. Is divorce wrong? You know it is. Does God hate divorce? You know He does because He knows how it will wreck families and turn some away from His Love. But, it is not unforgiveable. God loves us with an Everlasting Love, so how long is that? Is it predicated on what you do or don’t do? No way. He knows our weaknesses and everything about us, yet while we were yet sinners He died for us. JESUS BECAME SIN; HE BECAME OUR SIN AND PAID THE PRICE FOR US.
So what about other sins that Christians commit? How about Abortion? Forgivable! How about murder? Forgivable! How about all the sexual sin rampant today including pornography? Forgivable! How about fornication and having children out of marriage? Forgivable! Stealing? Forgivable! And what does God require of you to be forgiven for these things? You must forgive anyone that has hurt or wounded you in any way. Come on don’t give me that ole line; you just can’t forgive what they did to you. Really? When God forgives your sorry soul of all the sins and stuff you have done and loves you anyway, you’re not willing to forgive others? That my friend is a recipe for disaster, because unless you forgive others neither will you be forgiven. So who does that hurt? You of course, that is just stupid and not only stupid, but the bible says it’s wicked. Remember the parable of the wicked slave who was forgiven a huge amount of money by his master, but then when out and demanded his debtors pay him or go to prison? If God forgives you, then you ought, no you must, forgive others.
Are you aware that more suicides occur in the age group over fifty than those in their twenties? Why are seniors killing themselves at an alarming rate? Because they refused the wonderful grace of God and forgiveness. When life is all about you instead of all about others and God, you become selfish and a coward only wanting relief, but instead you damn you own soul. What a super sad situation to listen to the minions of the devil and believe the lies and never reach out to God.
- Everyone sees what’s going on in the world right now. All the crime, wars, and wickedness; not to mention the natural disasters happening at a rapid pace all around the world. We are fast approaching the end of the age when Christ will return for His redeemed. “As in the days of Noah” is becoming a real reality in our lifetime. For those of you reading this blog who are away from God; come back! God is a God of reconciliation and He is waiting on you. Don’t you think God knew that we are incapable of living righteous? The Ten Commandants were given to show us our sin. Jesus came and died for us and became our sin so we can be righteous in Him alone. He died once for all, never to die again. The price has been paid, all you have to do is humble yourself and ask God to forgive you and confess Jesus is the Messiah and Lord and give your life to Him. Will all your problems go away? No, but you will be equipped to handle them as you stay close to Him. Have you failed over and over? Who hasn’t? Does that negate His promises? No. Pick yourself up and dust yourself off and begin again. Read your bible daily, go find a good church and above all pray and then pray some more. Pray the Lord’s Prayer everyday and thank God for all things. Feeling sorry for yourself is a spirit of the devil. Feeling unloved is a lie from the enemy because it is a lie. Feeling depressed is a spirit of the devil. Feeling fear is a spirit of fear from the enemy. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of love and peace and a sound mind.” God’s grace is here right now for you, take it by faith……
