The Breach of Protection

It seems as if God has lifted His mighty hand of protection off this land of America. It feels demonic and unnerving to everyone. Who would have ever dreamed just going to grade school or high school or the movies or to work or even the mall could cost you your life in America? We have always had crime, especially in the big cities, but this is different; its murder planned out by demonically possessed young men. Men who are misfits and loners, full of hate, with no regard for human life, including the lives of young children or women. This is a planned attack of evil, of the devil and his demons to try to destroy our very faith in God and ruin the security of living in the land that has always been called the home of the brave and the land of the free. This causes great fear and nervousness and mental anguish among all our citizens from coast to coast and border to border.

But in these deep tragedies, there is always hope and faith that those who know their God will stand firm in their belief that God is not only our salvation through Jesus Christ, but is also our protector and our hope no matter what we see going on in the world around us. For us to remember that to be absent from our bodies is to be present with the Lord in heaven must be so ingrained in our spirit that regardless if we live or die we are the Lords. I guarantee you hosts of angels were there that day with those children and the second they lost their lives, those angels took them by the hand and brought them directly to the face of Almighty God. Though they disappeared in this life, they are so happy now in heaven, where God wipes away all their tears and His love and presence fills their hearts with monumental joy.

The pain for those parents, and really all of us who mourn their loss, will eventually subside and life will again go on, though they will always be missed and loved and cherished by all. I am not one who does not know their hurt and pain because I lost my first born son at the age of 16 and that crushing blow was so deeply felt in my heart that I was not the same for a couple of years. Through that pain I came to realize that God is still God. He is the same God of night that He is of the day. He is the same God of the bad times as He is in the good times. He loves us so and through it all I learned to trust in Jesus and learned to trust in God. Now I assure you there are those who blame God for all the suffering and tragedies in this life, but that is such a lie direct from the pit of hell itself and from Satan. God is a God of love and gives every man and woman life and a life of choice to either live for Him or live for themselves. Free will is something God will never override in any human being. It’s what separates us from the animal kingdom and what defines us as humans, free choice.

The enemy of our soul’s entire goal is to steal kill and destroy us. He hates us and continues on his rampage of destroying lives in any way possible. Destroying our families, our health, our marriages our jobs our finances through open doors that we give him as humans for the most part because of our sins, because of our unbelief, because of our lack of a personal relationship with our God that He has made available to anyone who calls upon His name. Even the natural disasters are a product of Satan’s agenda to kill and destroy. He is the prince and power of the air the bible says, but his days are numbered. Jesus last words were “It is finished” He reconciled man back to God through His death and resurrection. He took the keys of the kingdom from Satan of death, hell and the grave, and then He gives them to us IF we will surrender our hearts and lives to Him. Jesus said in this life you will have troubles, but take heed “I have overcome the world.” Now if He overcame the world, then all those who’s trust is in Him falls under His protection, not only in this life, but in eternity, in the life to come; forever and ever.

To lose your life is actually to save it. If you lose your life in faith believing that Jesus IS the resurrection and the life, then you gain your life forever by being His disciple and doing your best to walk in righteousness. He is our righteousness if we will let Him. There is nothing in us that is good, but the bible says we become the righteousness IN Christ for all who believe; to the Jew first and also to the Greek (all non-Jews).

There is a wonderful short chapter in Psalms 91 that all of us need to read and re-read and confess out loud and believe with all our hearts. Here it is: “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” For He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a Shield and buckler. You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, not the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked. Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place—the Most High, who is my refuge no evil will befall you, no plague come near your tent. For He will command His angels concerning you, to guard you in all your ways. On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone. You will tread on the lion and the adder; the young lion and the serpent you will trample underfoot. Because He holds fast to me in love, I will deliver him; I will protect him, because he knows my name. When he calls to me, I will answer Him; I will be with him in trouble; I will rescue him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy and show him my salvation.”

God promises when the enemy comes in like a flood, then He will raise up a standard against him. Where sin abounds, much more does grace abound. Finally God promises that nothing shall separate us from the love of Christ. Not tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness or danger or sword. “ For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. “ (Romans 8:38)
