Baby Boomers Religion

So many people are hung up on the name on the Church door or sign on the Church property. Others are absolutely obsessed about their denominational doctrines even though many have no idea what the doctrines of the Church they attend even are.

The early church did not have this problem like it exist in the world today. The early church was Catholic meaning comprehensive all inclusive to all mankind as Christian. It was not the Roman Catholic Church of today, nor was it Protestant which simply means “protesting against the Roman Catholic Church”

The gospel was simple (as it should be today) That is “ For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is already condemned, because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” John 3:16-17. Furthermore we are commanded to be Baptized in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit which represents Jesus death burial and resurrection. In the new covenant baptism also represents the cutting off from the world, the spiritual circumcision from the world and its lusts. That is the basic gospel pure and simple and any church or any person preaching anything except Jesus Christ and him crucified is to be cursed the Bible actually says.

Now there are also other doctrines that include the following of signs to all believers like speaking in tongues, casting out devils and laying hands on the sick so that they will recover. Also the doctrine of the Lords Supper, that is taking of bread and wine representing Jesus body bruised for your healing (by His stripes you were healed) and drinking the wine (or fruit of the vine) that represents His blood shed to cover all of our sins. Then living Holy, that is abstaining from sexual sin which is our sanctification, and living by faith (it will be tested) which means we become righteous not by our own works but by faith in Jesus. And finally the doctrine that Jesus is coming back, coming again to take us home to a new Heaven and a new earth when the dead in Christ shall rise immortal and incorruptible and sinners will also rise to perish in the lake of fire which burns forever and ever.

We are to show our faith to others by our good works because faith without works is dead, but doing good works is not salvation. We cannot work our way to heaven by any means because Jesus said “I Am the Way, the Truth and the Life and no ones comes to the Father but by Me.” (John 14:6)

What name you have on your church doesn’t matter as long at your Priest or Bishop or Pastor preach Jesus Christ and Him Crucified and teaches repentance and believing in the name that is above every other name and following through with baptism. We are not ever saved by how good we might think we are ( all our good is filthy rags to God) but by His grace we are saved through faith and even that doesn’t come from us. Jesus told a man “You must be born again of the Spirit to see the kingdom of heaven” you see Jesus must know us and that can only be done through His Spirit not by anything we do.

On that great day to when the roll is called up yonder I’ll be there and so will believers from every denomination, every nation, every nationality, every tribe every Ethic group who have surrendered their lives to Jesus ( you can’t do it anyway) and put their trust in the blood shed by our Lord and Savior of the world Jesus Christ. Make 2018 your year of surrender day by day to Jesus and trust Him alone for eternal life….when you think no one cares, God does, when you think no one loves you unconditionally, God does, when you think there is no hope, there is, in Jesus Christ.

For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved. (Romans 10:10)
