Are you living under a Curse?

For many people, there are so many things going wrong in their lives, they just can’t seem to break out of it and find some peace. One thing after another seems to go wrong. I have met several people in this world from time to time who actually seem to be a magnet for trouble. Without really even trying, trouble seems to follow them wherever they go and whatever they do. Have you known someone like this? Most likely you have at some time or another or know people now that fit this pattern of behavior or locked into this situation frequently. So what causes this to happen in people’s lives? Examining scripture reveals several things as causes, but really it all boils down to just one or two issues in their thinking and lifestyle of living. Looking at believers and non-believers, there is striking similarities to the causes, but the believers definitely have an inside tract to overcoming this tragedy in life with some minor adjustment of their faith standards.

First of all for the believer who has repented and confessed Jesus as Lord and has been born again by the Spirit, there is victory just ahead when the realization of veering of track away from that first born again experience is realized. Galatians chapter 3 is one to study and make that change in your thinking. In that chapter beginning with verse one we read: ” You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you, ( false teaching through evil spirits) before who eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? This is the only thing I want to find out from you; did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by hearing with faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh? Did you suffer so many things in vain–if indeed it was in vain? So then does He (Jesus) who provides you with the Spirit and works miracles among you, do it by the works of the law, or by hearing by faith?”
” For as many as are of the works of the Law are under a CURSE; for as it is written, Cursed is everyone who does not abide by ALL THINGS written in the book of the Law, to perform them” Now that no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for “The righteous man shall live by faith.” However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, ” He who PRACTICES THEM SHALL LIVE BY THEM.” Christ redeemed us From the Curse of the Law, having become a curse FOR US– for it is written, ” Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.” In order that IN Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the PROMISE OF THE SPIRIT (see Acts 2:39) through faith.”
So we see those who try to live by the Law of works are actually under a curse. They can show their faith by doing good works, but living under the Law brings on a curse in your life. Why? Because it is absolutely positively impossible to live by the Law. No human can live by the law because to break just one law or commandment means they have broken the entire law and under the law there is no grace, no salvation, no peace, only coming judgments in one’s life. Their lives are full of trouble.
Everyone that lives has had trials and tribulations but living by faith in Jesus Christ overcomes them all. For a Christian, many come to test your faith, to prove you’re really trusting in God alone and not trusting in anything in yourself or the world. Our very best is just filthy rags to God. We deserve nothing but hell for our sins, but Jesus took our place because He alone is worthy.! Now here’s the remarkable mystery: we are justified by faith in Jesus. Do you realize we are justified? We are justified! We are just-as-if-we-never sinned, justified in Jesus! Jesus FULFILLED THE LAW FOR US, so we don’t have too.
So this sums it up in Galatians 2:16 ” nevertheless knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the Law, since by works of the Law, no flesh will be justified.” Confess your freedom in Christ, confess out loud you are free from the Law and will live by faith in Jesus Christ. Live righteous and holy, show your faith by your good works, but know you are saved by Gods grace through faith in the Master, Jesus Christ who laid down His life for you and is coming back a second time.
I’ve heard many say when they cross over to the other side that they will get into heaven because of something they did for good while living, or saying, I’m a good person, I haven’t killed anyone. Deceived to say the least. The Bible says that the wrath of God rest upon those unbelievers who didn’t love the truth, and so does the curse if you’re living by the law of good works and not faith. Put your faith in Jesus alone and not in your works or the law…..

I have not walked alone (and neither have you)

I have not walked alone (and neither have you)
With my recent 69th birthday I began reflecting on my life. looking back as far as I could until now and realizing I have not nor have I ever been walking alone in this life and neither have you. The proof and examples are all through the Bible and in our lives.
Starting in Genesis we read where God would come to the garden of eden in the cool of the evening and walk and talk with Adam and Eve. It was Jesus, God’s Son before He was ever born as a man. Since nothing has been created that has ever been created apart from Jesus the Bible says; He was the hand and mouth piece to mankind. Jesus said ” the Father and I are One and if you have seen me you have seen the father” No man can see God the Father and live so all the examples of God interacting with humans was Jesus Christ himself, acting on behalf of the Father throughout the Old testament covenant. It was Jesus who wrestled with Jacob and touched his thighbone and it was Jesus who came to Abraham and told him he was going to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. Jesus has always been with us and has never left us throughout our lives. After he died on the cross to purchase our salvation and went back up and to heaven he sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in the hearts of man saying; ” and I will send you the comforter, the spirit of truth” I am the same yesterday today and forever and I will never leave you nor forsake you.” For every believer who has repented of their sins and believed in Jesus , the Holy Spirit comes in and dwells in that person. And if the Holy Spirit dwells in us and has sealed our spirit for for the day of redemption as it is written in Ephesians, then the same spirit that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in us. And if the Spirit dwells in us then God will give life to our mortal bodies and walk with us because the Spirit is always with us. Are you following this?
So now if the very Spirit is always in you then now you understand how God hears your every prayer and knows your every thought and sees your every trial and knows your every sin and helps in every accomplishment you have in life. Jesus is always there in you, with you and knows everything about you through the Spirit that dwells in you. Think about that for a few minutes.
The conclusion should be to always be honest with God because He knows you anyway so who or what are you trying to fool or hide from? Now you see why you pray daily and confess your sins daily so you can be healed! Healed meaning forgiven, set free, made well etc. etc. I got news for you, it’s not a one time thing, but a daily thing constantly in communication with God. When you speak, your message instantaineously goes to the Father because the Spirit of Him in you is actually Him, His Spirit simultaneously communicating from you to Him and Him to you! So now you must surly understand why Jesus said “my sheep hear my voice and know the sound of it.” God talks to you everyday several times a day to you through His Spirit that dwells in you, are you listening? Are you getting this? Now if He knows how many hairs are on your head as the Bible says, don’t you think He knows how to communicate with you? If we really got all this we wouldn’t live like we do sinning and giving Him little of our time and love on a daily basis. Instead we would try hard to walk in the Spirit and not carry out the sins of our flesh.
It is a battle, make no mistake about it and that battle rages until we come to the full knowledge of how much He loves us and what He did for us to save us. We must believe and accept Jesus into our lives and then despite all our failures and shortcomings know we belong to Him and only Him. To begin to understand the mind of God just a tiny bit will open rivers of living water that you never dreamed existed that will quench the thirst of your mind and soul. When I think back on all the trials I’ve been through and all the times my life I could have been taken and all the people that have passed by my life to help me and all the times I have found hope when it was lost and all the times I have been restored in so many ways including family and health and finances; I know I have never been alone because Jesus has been there all the time even when I didn’t acknowledge Him. He’s waiting for you, He’s always been there, follow Him because He will bring you home in the end and finish what He started in you. I’m not alone and neither are you…..

Trust in the Lord in these Days of Trouble

Trust the Lord in these Days of Trouble

Our trust should never in mankind, and especially government. Anyone thinking that newly elected officials and leaders will change everything for the better and will fix things are deceiving themselves. The bible explicitly says our fight is against evil in high places and not against flesh and blood, but against the forces of darkness controlling the men and women in high places. The current evil in the hearts of leaders around the world have one motivation; control, and with that control comes riches and money and more money; the love of which is the root of all evil. Most leaders are the puppets of the elite; the real controllers of the economies of the world. Who can trust them, any of them? Trade packs and secret agreements render constitutions and sovereignty of nations destroyed, while those in charge take control of the masses.

Interestingly, in Jeremiah the Lord states His case against the utter stupidly of trusting in mankind. In chapter 17:5 and following we read; ” Thus says the Lord, CURSED IS THE MAN WHO TRUST IN MANKIND AND MAKES FLESH HIS STRENGTH, AND WHOSE HEART TURNS AWAY FROM THE LORD.” There you go; you want to be cursed, just trust in mankind and flesh. This is very serious warnings from God, not to be taken lightly or ignored. God says CURSED is the man, not some slap on the wrist bad boy correction. I certainly don’t want me or my family cursed, do you? I get it Lord and I hope you do too.

On the other side, listen to what the Lord says about trusting Him through all things. In verse seven God says; “BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO TRUSTS IN THE LORD AND WHOSE TRUST IS THE LORD. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its Roots by a stream, and WILL NOT FEAR WHEN THE HEAT COMES; but it’s leaves will be green, and IT WILL NOT BE ANXIOUS IN THE YEAR OF THE DROUGHT, NOR CEASE TO YIELD FRUIT.” Wow what a promise! No matter what is going on around us in the earth, we will not fear! We will flourish when the heat of trials and perilous times comes and we will not be anxious at the drought ( California and West) and we will continue to yield fruit! When things are really bad, we will still prosper for one reason; our trust is in the Lord and Him alone!

” The lord searches our hearts and test our minds even to give to each man according to his ways, according to the results of his deeds. As a partridge that hatches eggs which it has not laid, so is he who makes a fortune, but unjustly; in the midst of his days it will forsake him, and in the end he will be a fool.” ( vs 11)

” The Lord is our refuge in the day of disaster” Jesus is our bridge over troubled waters, focus on the bridge not the troubled waters. We walk by faith not by sight. In these coming days of trouble, know that God is with you and will never leave you and will be WITH YOU through the trouble. God may not take us out of the midst of the trouble, but He will be with us through it all. To the coming darkness remember; ” YOUR WORD IS A LAMP TO MY FEET AND A LIGHT TO MY PATH.” (Psalms 119:105)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and don’t lean on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.”(Proverbs 3:5-6)
