Those Odd Ball Crazy Christians

The Bible says that Christians who are truly saved are a peculiar people. Very peculiar to the world, but family to each other. There’s a certain camaraderie among them and belief that is unsurpassed in the spirit world for one reason; all born again Christians have the same Spirit given to us by God through Jesus. Now does that mean all Christians agree on everything? Not hardly, but the one thing we all agree on is Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, that He is the word of God and became flesh and lived on earth and died on a cross and shed His blood for the remission of our sins, was buried then arose from the dead and ascended up to heaven and is coming back again someday to rule and reign. So this great hope that resides in Christians, resides in their spirit because it’s the very same spirit, the Spirit of the living God. “For by One spirit we were all baptized into one body” the body of Christ.

Now these odd people are odd because of the hope they carry of eternal life, living with the Father and His Son Jesus who created all things. This strange group of people know they are sinners and know there is no hope without Jesus in their lives. These people have the audacity to believe God is who He says He is and walk this life by faith in Jesus name, not by what they see going on around them or in the world. They are Peculiar only to those in the world who live by their fleshly desires far removed from knowing God though deep inside they know there is one God being evident by seeing His creation, knowing that all this absolutely could not have happened by mere chance.

You see there is also an enemy of God named Satan who convinced a third of the angels to follow him in his crazy scheme to become like the Most High and be worshipped but since he was defeated by Jesus on the cross and all power and dominion belongs to Jesus in heaven and in earth and God pronounced his sentence to the lake of fire for him and all the fallen angels when Jesus returns, his only goal now is to take as many as possible with him to hell and the lake of fire, so the battle rages on until the end. The battle for your soul and mind.

Now the majority of these odd ball Christians lived just like the worldly ones in the past, even worse in some cases, but the difference lies in the fact that while we were still sinners Jesus died for us and freedom from the fear of dying and going to hell (which is what we all deserve) passes away the minute we repent of our sins, turn away from the love of the world, and follow Jesus by believing in our hearts and confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and following His example by being baptized.

You see there is no death for the redeemed, your spirit just leaves your body and goes to heaven as you await the resurrection and receiving your new glorified body that will live forever and ever and ever. Now that’s a promise you can stand on because God says it is true. Remember God is not a man that He could lie. Our Father is so pure so holy so perfect, nothing and no one could ever compare. There is coming a new heaven and a new earth the word says.

Us peculiar odd ball crazy Christians are not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but we are all “sealed by the Holy Spirit” awaiting the resurrection day. And that hope is deep within us. There is no soul sleep as the word says “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”

So why do you suppose Christians are so maligned and hated and killed and martyred and picked on? The reason is simple; Jesus said “remember they hated me before they hated you.” They love their sin and love darkness rather than the light and truth. Like a rebellious child they want their own way not Gods way even though He has provided a way out of the darkness with His Son Jesus. “ God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.” God loves everyone, but everyone will not be saved, in fact the majority of people will burn in Hell because they refused the free gift of salvation that is there for anyone who believes.

How many times have you heard it said if God exist why is there so much pain and suffering in the world? The answer is still the same. “Because men love The darkness rather than light.” God did not create us like robots, everyone is a unique individual with total FREE WILL and those who deny God fall into sin and many invite the demons into their lives openly by inviting them in by the life that they lead and their love of the world, the love of money, the love of power, the love of lust and the love of drugs and the love of lying and murder and hate. These evil men and women led by the voices of Satan are the ones who have caused and are still causing untold suffering and death and every evil under the sun upon the earth, NOT GOD! You can read about them from Genesis to Revelation and in modern day history books and on the Internet. Vile men and women who love the darkness and not the light.

But surely your not one of them. Surely you want to break free of your sin and your addictions and heartache and deep seeded fear. Surely you will call upon the Lord to save you and turn from your sin. Surely you’re tired of the life you’ve been living and have seen there is no hope without God. You can escape you know and become an odd ball peculiar crazy Christian like the rest of us that are saved. If you feel any tug on your heart that’s God the Holy Spirit calling you to come home. Do it today do it now and join Gods unique family and become a part of the body of Christ. Gods salvation is free, but His blessings, His protection and His provision for you are conditional. You must surrender daily to Him and take up your cross and follow Him and obey His commandments the best you can, and if you are serious, the Holy Spirit will help you because Jesus said “ Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.

Is Football your Idol, your obsession Sports?

It’s started again, that NCAA and NFL programming that keeps you glued to your television, hiding in your man cave away from your worries on Saturday’s and Sunday’s and Monday’s and even on Thursday nights. Totally obsessed and checking your fantasy starting lineup after slapping down your doe to join a fantasy league. Now you watch every single game you can so you can see how your players are doing. Your mates are now an afterthought and until after the Super Bowl in February next year, close relationships are put on the shelf until then, when you take grudgingly take them back off the shelf and try to repair six months of damage and in many cases are shocked and wonder why things aren’t quite the same.

Watching wealthy players who disrespect our country and our flag and could care less they are destroying the very golden goose that feeds their over the top lifestyle while the vast majority of fans works their tail off everyday just to make ends meet, and feed their family. Intertwined in the coming six months is Baseball through October and into November and the NBA Basketball starting up in the fall and lasting until summer. Now many can go from one Idol and obsession to another without skipping a beat.

Sports in and of themselves are not harmful and many of us played all of them through high school creating a fun filled atmosphere of family and friends all linking together to have kinship and Friendship and great fellowship and fun, but today’s obsessions are quite different. Lost in the generational shuffle of actual face to face interaction, people today are transfixed on social media screens of their phones, clicking self portraits and sharing intimate details of their lives for the world to see with depressed personalities if the praise doesn’t come with likes and messages of praise and adoration of new hairstyles or clothing or vacations or foods. And now beginners begin as soon as their little hands can hold a phone and grandma’s and grandpa’s even get into the act fearing they are being left behind in a cultural revolution of high tech and false realities. The future memories and thinking and knowledge will be and already is becoming the phone. No need to study, just ask the phone for answers to all of life’s questions or so it would seem. But the truth is far darker and will be much more sinister.

Lost in the world of all these obsessions is the true meanings of life itself. Why am I here, does God exist, what happens when I die, how can I be happy or successful and find true love, is there life after death? All these answers are in one book; the Holy Bible. That book that few read any longer, the one that taught your elders about the Messiah, Jesus Christ who was and is and is to come. The Son of God who loves you and died for you so you can live forever in heaven with Him if you only believe and put your trust in Him who says I will never leave you nor forsake you. Sadly most don’t know Him at all and young ones are concerned much less, being taught the truth the gospel of Jesus Christ. Now there are Bible phone apps, most for free, but rarely used. Taking up space on the home screen are all the sports apps and music apps and game apps. Society now worships apps with sports and pornography and everything imaginable that takes people away from God. This nation is in very serious trouble and judgment is coming for the people who refuse to repent and turn back to God. Judgments come in many forms like the wildfires burning in the west or flooded cities like Houston and New Orleans or earthquakes or various other weather anomalies. By open borders we are being invaded and war rumors are in the news more each day. God allowed invaders to defeat and enslave Israel, will the same future be for America? It will be if the Idol worship does not cease and the hundreds of killings of babies doesn’t stop. How much longer will Gods grace rest on America with such wickedness and corruption? Repent and call upon Jesus and if you die in all this mess, you’ll live will be saved. “For whoever loses his life for my sake will be saved, but whoever saves his own life will lose it” The answer is surrender to God and train up your children and grandchildren to know God. There is none righteous, not a single one, only Jesus can help you and save you, give your life to Him today and join the millions who have come to know Him and live forever…

Did Jesus say ask me into your heart?

I’ve heard many Christians from several different denominations say on several occasions that no where in the Bible does it say we need to ask Jesus in our hearts, even going so far as to call this a heresy and false salvation to those who do it. Really? It appears they don’t know the Bible or what Jesus actually said in Revelation 3:20. Why? Because they don’t spend any time reading Revelation. They neither understand it or write off the the entire book as some sort of symbolism.

And what does Revelation 3:20 say? “ Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me”. What is the door? It can only be your heart. So if someone hears the gospel and opens the door of their heart to Jesus, then by His Holy Spirit He comes in through the doorway, which is your heart, to your spirit and you become born again by believing with your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. For through Him by the Holy Spirit is grace and faith and the only way to have fellowship with the Father in heaven.

When you ask Jesus into your heart He comes in and dines with you meaning he takes up residence in your spirit and seals it for the day of redemption (Ephesians 1:13, 4:30 and II Corinthians 1:22) and through the Holy Spirit that He sends you He teaches you to observe all things He commands. If I were you I would open your heart and ask Jesus to come in and save you. You can’t clean yourself up, only Jesus can clean your house and clean you up as you surrender to Him all the areas of your heart.

When the people ask what must I do to be saved in Acts what was the response from Peter? Repent and be baptized and you will receive the GIFT of the Holy Spirit. So am I saying baptism alone saves you? No I’m not and neither does the verse; however when you read all the conversions in the book of Acts what did those who believed do right away? They got baptized in water and so should we do the same because Jesus commanded it. You’ll also notice that they all believed FIRST and Confessed Jesus and were pricked in their hearts when they heard the Gospel. That’s why Paul said in Romans 10:8-11 “

“ what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart,”that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.

It is just as the Scripture says: “Everyone who believes in Him will not be put to shame.”For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on Him, for “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

The gospel of salvation is fairly easy to understand if you hear with your heart and not some man made doctrine. Paul says the gospel is simple and it is the gospel of Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. So you hear with your heart (not your mind only), you believe with your heart ( not just your mind), you obey from your heart, (not just agree intellectually)you confess Jesus is Lord from your heart, (not just words from the mind spoken), you obey Jesus commandment to be baptized ( not to join a church) and you ask Jesus into your heart which is by the Holy Spirit.

“For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.” (1st Corinthians 12:13)

15And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16“He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. 17“These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; 18they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”(Mark 16:15-18)

Jesus wants us to ask Him into our heart. He wants us to ask Him to baptize us in the Holy Spirit. For our heart is the door and He is knocking. Will you open the door? Ask Him in right now…

Jesus is all in All

Jesus Christ was with the Father in Genesis, He is the one who walked in the cool of the evening and spoke with Adam and Eve. He is the one who talked to Noah and gave him directions on how to build the Ark. He is the one who allowed Job to be tested and carried on all the conversation with him. Jesus is the one who appeared with the angels and broke bread with Abraham before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. He is the God of the burning bush that Moses saw and the one who gave him the Ten Commandments. Jesus is the God, the Word who became flesh and laid down His life for humanity and took the keys away from Satan of death and Hell and rose again from the dead. Jesus is the creator who created everything that has ever been created and nothing that has been created was created without Him. All authority has been given to Him by the Father both in heaven and in earth now and in the age to come. Jesus is coming back soon to gather all that are His and destroy the wicked. He will reign for a thousand years out of Jerusalem and destroy Satan with the breath of His mouth and cast him along with the false prophet and the Antichrist in the lake of fire to be tormented for all eternity. Jesus has prepared a place for us and created a new Jerusalem,1500 miles in width and length and height that will come down and sit on a new earth for this earth will be burned up at the end of days.

Jesus is the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End who Was and Is and is to Come. He is the Way the Truth and the Life. He is the rose of Sharon, the bright and morning star, the good shepherd. He is the healer, He is baptizer of the Holy Spirit. He is the lamb of God, the Lion of Judah, the bread of life, the river of life, the soon coming King, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and no one can come to the Father except through Him. He is the door, He is the gate, He is eternal life for all those who believe. All of heaven adores Him. All of earth will see Him when He returns and in judgment every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess Jesus is Lord, but don’t wait, believe in your heart today that He is Lord and the Son of God and that He died for you and God raised Him from the dead and confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and be saved today. Surrender your life to Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to live in you, then get baptized as He commanded. For whether you live or die you are the Lords so live for Him now and receive His mercy and grace and be saved today. Jesus is waiting and watching, come home, come home, for He loves you so..

Three things that are conditional with God

The love of God is inseparable, but His blessings, His protection and prosperity are conditional. That depends on you and how you live. It’s so very true that Gods love for mankind, the human race that He created is without any conditions because God is love and His compassion is new every morning. Regardless of what you may have done yesterday, God in His great mercy and grace will forgive you if you truly repent from your heart and turn away from the sins in your lives that so easily entangle you. The proof of His love is sending His son Jesus to die for you and even the whole world.
And as for our love for Him, the Bible states that nothing is able to separate us from the love of God. Nothing at all. Romans 8:35 states ” Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

36 Just as it is written, “FOR YOUR SAKE WE ARE BEING PUT TO DEATH ALL DAY LONG; WE WERE CONSIDERED AS SHEEP TO BE SLAUGHTERED.”

37 But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us.

38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers,

39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” So if your born again, you have no need to worry about the love issue.
However; the three things that are conditional I mentioned at the beginning of this blog which are blessings, protection and prosperity are very much connected to your obedience to His commandments and your own personal relationship with God and don’t think they are not. As a Christian think about the times in your life when things were going really well for you and consider how you were living at that time. On the other hand think about the times you have been in bad shape and things were going awful for you in your life and think about how your walk and relationship with the Almighty was at those times in your life. So really you already have the answers just by your own self examination. When Jesus was asked ” what must I do to inherit eternal life” what did Jesus say first? He said ” You know the commandments” So even the “Ten Commandments” apply today to you and me and we all have broken them. To break one is to break them all the Bible says. In other words we better be living the best we can everyday, the best we know how, but today we are not under the Law, but the Law of the Spirit in Jesus Christ. Consider what Romans 8 says:
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.

3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh,

4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

5 For those who are according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace,

7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so,

8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

12 So then, brethren, we are under obligation, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh—

13 for if you are living according to the flesh, you [fn]must die; but if by the Spirit you are putting to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

14 For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.

15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”

16 The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,

17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Himso that we may also be glorified with Him.

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
So walk in the Spirit and God will grant you blessings, protection and prosperity! If not, now you know why…..

Jesus Emptied Himself to become a Human

Do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,

6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped,

7 but Emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, andbeing made in the likeness of men.

8 Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,i

10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth,

11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

12 So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling;

13 for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

14 Do all things without grumbling or disputing;

15 so that you will prove yourselves to be blameless and innocent, children of God above reproach in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you appear as lights in the world.(Philippians 2:5-15)

In the form of God. “Christ is the same nature and essence as God” Jesus emptied Himself, “The Kenosis” (emptying) of Christ during His incarceration does not mean that He surrendered any attributes of deity, but that He took on the limitations of humanity. This involved a veiling of His preincarnate glory (John 17:5) and the voluntary nonuse of some of His divine prerogatives during the time He was in the earth (Matt. 24:36), form is the same word used in verse 6 of Philippians’s 2. That means Jesus was completely God and truly man. To deny either the deity or humanity of Christ requires denying the other. It was through self denial and obedience Christ won sovereignty over all peoples and things. Jesus Christ is Lord, He is God (Yahweh of the Old Testament)

In the same way we must empty ourselves and surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ to the glory of the Father producing good fruit by telling others about the great mystery of salvation and eternal life that comes only through faith in His only begotten Son Jesus. We are justified by faith in Jesus. So we all must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. Not Work for it, but work it out in our personal lives, remember it’s by grace we are saved through faith and that faith makes us children of God and we receive the”Promise”, the very same promise Abraham received from God, everlasting life having been justified by faith if we continue in the way until death….

Is Homosexuality off the Sin List?

So do we take homosexuality off the sin list now? How about adultery or fornication? How about pedophilia? Perhaps polygamy.
The sin list varies greatly by individuals and churches. So how is it that the government and the courts get to decide what you can believe, or how you behave based on your personal beliefs or religion?
Tell me the difference between what’s going on now and what was going on under Hitler. Now the hatred isn’t just towards the Jews; you can now add in all bible believing Christian’s into the mix.
Oh but wait, the “one percenters”, you know the multi-million dollar Corporations like Facebook, Twitter and even Starbucks? Now they get to tell you what and how to believe or else. Not exactly freedom of speech or religion anymore is it?
Try getting a Muslim bakery to plan your gay wedding or take pictures,  they won’t do it. Ah, but that’s ok, they are Muslims (and would stone every gay person in America if they could get away with it.) It’s just the dirty rotten Jews or Christians. Such hypocrisy in America its beyond sickening.
I have a couple of gay friends. I have a gay cousin. I also have gay nieces. Do I hate them all? Please…don’t be stupid? Of course not, but to hear the media explain it; every bible believing Christian hates gay’s and the LBGT community. What everyone really hates is the cruel and unusual punishment received by any class of citizen based upon their beliefs and religion, whether it’s loss of business, money or harassment in any form. What people really hate is the Hypocrisy from government and the public whether it’s directed to or from the gay or straight communities or towards individuals.
Everyone just wants to tell Christian’s to “shut up and feed the poor” and stay out of all other social issues and government, please…
Look, if I believe the entire bible and hold to every word as truth and do my best to follow the teachings, then I will always believe homosexuality, adultery and fornication are sins and each person must make the choice whether to sin or not. To repent or not. To believe or not. But if I own a bakery, or  Pizza parlor or photography studio or any other business, I’m certainly not going to go against my beliefs in the Bible and what I feel deep in my heart to be right for the sake of compromise. In all things I must answer to God first and not man.
In the same vein, if I cannot get what I want from a business, I simply go to one who meets my needs. Come on how hard is that to do? No it’s about making a statement  even to the point of ruining lives and families; just for the sake of making a statement and proving ones point, never mind the human cost involved.
The media has done a masterful job of turning gay’s against Christians because they don’t agree with their lifestyle. Things have turned from tolerance to totalitarianism concerning the LBGT community. From acceptance and getting along to in your face radical fascism. Scare tactics work well among a politically correct society. Now that gay marriage is the law of the land will the gay community show tolerance towards those who disagree, I think not; in fact I think every effort will now be made in the courts to shove the gay agenda in the face of every facet in our society without regard to the consequences.
At the end of the day what matters is loving God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and your neighbor as yourself. We will all stand before our creator some day and be judged or not depending if JESUS knew us as He said “you must be born again to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. That judgment is for every single person who ever lived, and the outcome is solely based on choices made in this life….,
