Why your prayers don’t get answered..

Most people pray if only now and again or when disaster strikes, but do their prayers get answered? For those not in tune with God that answer is probably no. There is really a few simple reasons why this happens and it’s as plain as the nose on your face. First let’s take a quick look at what is actually recorded in the text of life; the word of God.

1st John 3:21 says this :”Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight. This friends, is the first and foremost reason prayer results never come. First reason is “if our hearts does not condemn us” and this speaks volumes. Our hearts are condemned by KNOWN SIN in our lives. Why do people think God will overlook their know Unconfessed sin? Some never even stop to think “But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.” (Luke 12:2) Just look at what’s happening today, all the Revelation coming out about people’s private sex lives , not to mention all the corruption being exposed in governments around the world. We are just witnessing the tip of the iceberg with much more that will come out in the coming weeks and months. And how do they try and get your mind off of what’s happening? Simple just create a false flag; some sort of disaster or new narrative to change the subject or news cycle; thus creating a false flag. It’s the same with individuals; just divert attention away from the truth.

Secondly, “ if you heart condemns you, you have zero confidence when you pray” your just wasting your breath and your words just hit the ceiling and drop to the floor.

However; if you heart DOES NOT CONDEMN YOU, you have great confidence because you are clean and not hiding known sins because you have truly repented of those sins and they are forgiven and forgotten. And if that’s the case you have every right to EXPECT an answer from the Almighty Father in heaven! We have the faith to know that because we do things that are pleasing to God and keep His commandments with no purposeful sin in our lives, God will absolutely, positively answer our prayers in due time.

The only other way that doesn’t happen is if we ask for things with the wrong motives.”You ask and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures.” (James 4:3) For example: God I want a brand new car. Instead of Father please help me get a car so I can get to work and keep my job. Or God I need more money (and you thinking of all the ways you can spend it) instead of saying Father please give me great favor with my employer and supervisors so I can get a raise to help me pay my bills and give more to the poor and my church.

If you have no hidden sins and you know what hidden sins are; sneaking around and having an affair or watching porno, or stealing from your place of work, or causing dissensions by gossiping behind people’s back, or lying to cover up your weaknesses like DRUGS or alcoholism or homosexuality or any number of things that are too numerous to mention. You know if you have secret sins and you know exactly what they are and why they are being done. IF so, then cry out to God for His forgiveness and repent in sorrow and He will forgive you and restore you.

So the bottom line in getting your prays answered is this: have a clean heart that does not condemn you when you pray and your prayers will get answered in due time as you rest in assurances that God hears your prayers and loves you and will answer them. So stop doubting and stay strong and take courage, because God never fails and know He may test your faith during the process to see if you are faithful and mean business. “Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God; and whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.” Don’t you think it’s about time you start believing and using your faith and see the answers come?

Releasing the power of God in your life

Releasing the power of God in your life
Releasing the power of God in our lives takes our cooperation using both God’s grace and our faith. Its grace and faith combined that releases the power of God. His grace is always there because of His great love for us and what Jesus accomplished fulfilling the law and taking upon Himself our sins and offering His blood as the payment for our transgressions.
But unfortunately, people abuse grace by believing everything is just totally up to God. They believe they have no part in what our sovereign God does. They believe it’s totally up to God whether or not they are saved or healed or live or die or have a good journey in life. Then if it doesn’t happen they blame God for all their troubles. Some believe grace gives them a license to sin instead of following the word and living a separated and holy life. Grace by itself will not accomplish an experience of knowing or walking with God, it must include our faith believing in our hearts. We are saved by grace through faith and that not of ourselves; there is a balance.
Then on the flip side there are abuses concerning faith. There are people who take scriptures and try to make God do something. An example would be to get money or believe anything that is not the will of God for your life. Faith does not make God do anything. Faith is not something you do in order to make God do something. We walk by faith, we live by faith we are justified by faith, we are sanctified by faith, we pray by faith and we are saved through faith. God is not the one that needs to move, He is not the one that is stuck in a situation. God moved over 2000 years by sending His only begotten Son Yeshua Jesus to earth on our behalf. Jesus is not going to die again; the grace is there to be saved through your faith believing. The ball is in our court so to speak.
Jesus is not going to get stripes on his back again for your healing, He already did that, He paid for your healing. It is up to us to release our faith on the grace that has already been provided and BELIEVE God when He said “IT IS FINISHED! We must trust Him to make it Manifest in our soul and bodies.
God anticipated everything we would ever need and He did it by His Son Jesus Christ. It’s already done. So…Faith is simply your POSTIVE RESPONSE to what God has already provided and done by GRACE. You do not have to beg God in hours of prayer, but simply believe God loves you and provided everything we need in this life. Thanking Him and worshiping and praising Him for His wonderful grace while believing releases your faith as you even quote His word back to Him of His marvelous promises. His word does not return to Him void. ASK God to manifest in your life and your body or family or finances or job or whatever the need is in your life. Didn’t He say in the word that we know He hears us and if we know He hears us that we will receive whatever we ask for? Yes He did.
Stop fretting and worrying and having unbelief and believe the word when He says; they must believe that He is who He says He is and He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Then you can enter the rest that God says He has for His people. There is a rest for the children of God, so rest in Him. Don’t let unbelief block you from entering God’s rest. Faith and rest is believing God is who He says He is and Jesus fulfilled the law so we don’t have to and He provided for all our needs.
All things become new and all old things pass away when you believe, so believe God. “He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” (John 3; 36) The grace is always there, God has given us all a measure of faith so faith is always there; now ask God to manifest His blessings in your life and enter His rest………

What’s all this personal relationship with Jesus stuff?

What is all this personal relationship business people say you must have with Christ? I remember my good Baptist friends would say that to me and I would answer no, you have to get baptized. Which they would reply; we do after we get saved. Turns out they were right on that point; everyone must have a personal relationship with Jesus.  In the Day of Judgment Jesus said to those on the left “Depart from me, I never knew you, to which many said wait a minute (inferred) didn’t I do many mighty works in your name? Jesus said depart from me I never knew you.

Why did he say that? If you live with a person, you will have a personal relationship with them and so it is, to live with Jesus is to have a personal relationship with Him. Many today profess with their mouth that they are Christians, but in their heart they are far, far away from Him. You may think you’re saved but in truth, you are not saved at all. How is this possible when you went too or still go to church and walked the isle and prayed a prayer to get saved? It happens because there was no real true repentance from the heart; it was just an act of religion. It happens because there was no commitment to Jesus really from the heart. It happens because there was no resolve to take up your cross daily and follow Jesus. It happens because you were not willing to Truly Repent which means to turn around from your pass sins and lifestyle, it means you walked out that church door or meeting wherever it was the same as when you came in and returned to the same ole sins you have been practicing all your life. Nothing really changed.

Jesus said “Count the cost” and you did and decided to try to live with one foot in the world and one foot in Christianity which won’t work. God said if you are neither hot nor cold He will spit you out of His mouth. How many will hear “depart from me, I never knew you?” Mixed in is the belief or should I say Unbelief that you were unsure if Jesus Really is the Son of God or if His shed blood really does cleanse you and covers all your sins. Maybe it was all an act on your part to please someone else or perhaps play the “church” game and show (pretending of course) that you’re all that in the community and known for being a good person, (though you know inside that is far from the truth.)

All this talk of a personal relationship really does mean something, just like any personal relationships you have in life mean something. In this case with Jesus, it means giving up your life, letting go and trusting with your whole heart, placing yourself in the hands of the creator, the lover of your life, the redeemer of your soul, who died for you. His yoke is easy and His burden is light. Jesus says “take my yoke upon you and learn of me and you will find REST for your soul. That means all the stress and worries and heartaches and tension within you will come to a peace deep inside you in your soul and spirit and finally you will be at peace with yourself. Jesus also said you must be Born Again to enter the kingdom of God. Do you think anyone at judgment who are told to depart from Jesus and He never knew them were born again? Absolutely NOT! You know something, you know if you have been born again inside, it’s no game and you will answer in judgments; don’t kid or deceive yourself.

Knowing your spirit is born again is simple to discern. If the eyes of your heart don’t see things differently than before, if there was no real change that took place in your lifestyle, if you are buried in the same sins as before, if you still treat others badly and hate some, if you still carry all kinds of unforgiveness  to those who have offended you and if you spend zero time praying and studying the word and don’t worship God from your heart, there is NO WAY your born again, your just deceiving yourself or the devil is deceiving you. A born again person has the witness in themselves the bible says.

Have you shared Jesus with anyone? How many have you led to repentance? Freely you have been given so freely give to others. Eternal life is a free gift of God. None of us deserve anything as we are all sinners, but if we are saved by Gods grace through faith in Jesus then we ought to act like it. If God did not spare the angels, how much more will those who deny such a great salvation are judged in the end? Salvation is not something to take lightly as you were bought with a heavy price, the blood of the Son of God! A born again person does not practice sin. Hello, John states those who practice sin are of the devil and you know them by their fruits. I am amazed at all the people I know who fit this category that claim to be saved and Christians. Baloney, they have affairs, get drunk or do drugs, are addicted to porn, hate others and love the world and money and practice these things and they say they are saved? Baloney, Jesus doesn’t know them and they are headed to a burning lake of fire unless they repent and trust Jesus from their heart. How do I know this? The bible says so and I was formerly just like them, but by the mercy of God. I came to the end of myself and was born of the Spirit of God, bless Jesus.

Please examine your own life and do right and believe Jesus must Know You or He will say depart from me, I never knew you. Sometimes true born again souls slip up and fall into sin, but come back to God in full repentance. He is faithful and just to forgive our sins if we ask Him. I am afraid for all those who think they are saved but are not even born again. Some play the church game, some are so bound up in religion and works, their souls are parched dry, yet they continue to be bound up in legalism instead of the free gift of grace. Still others who know grace live like the people in the world and practice sin of every kind.

I am scared for all my friends and family members whose only concern is money and the things of the world. God says if you love the world, then the love of the father is not in you. What a statement! How could that be? It’s because God is a jealous God and the love of anything before him is IDOL worship and putting other things before Him. We’re only human you say? No, that is wrong, we are spirit as well and we must worship Him in spirit and in truth. The fight within us is a fight against our own flesh and the devil. We must take control of our own flesh and say no and resist the devil and he will flee from us.

Think you can live a Christian life without praying and renewing your mind by reading and/or hearing the word? You can’t, so don’t even pretend. So what is the answer; to have a personal relationship with God the Father and Jesus the Son. How do we do that? Like any other relationship we have. Spend time with Him! Communicate with Him! Talk to Him 24/7 in your heart, He is right there with you all the time. How is that possible? His Spirit is inside you, the Holy Spirit if you are born again! So when you think or talk Gods Spirit inside you has instant communication with the Father! Greater is He that is in you than he who is in the world! And if the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside you, then He who raised Jesus from the dead will give life to your mortal body through the Spirit that dwells in you! That’s why we grieve the Holy Spirit when we sin because we carry God with us at all times and He knows even our innermost thoughts and everything we do!

But God is not waiting for us to mess up and then beat us with a big stick, He loves us so much and wants the best for our lives and gives us a future and a hope! A personal relationship? You bet, and we know His voice so listen for Him in your quiet times. Surrender to Jesus with your whole heart and ask the Holy Spirit in and be born again. Then on judgment day Jesus will say; come you blessed of my Father and enter into the rest that has been prepared for you since the beginning of time…..

Pray and Don’t Lose Heart

Pray and Don’t Lose Heart

Jesus told us in Luke 18 a couple of parables about prayer that many of us may have not paid much attention to and so we lose heart sometimes when we see our prayers seemingly go unanswered.

“Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not lose heart.” “In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect man. There was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, “Give me legal protection from my opponent.” For a while he was unwilling; but afterward he said to himself, even though I do not fear God nor respect man, yet because this widow bothers me, I will give her legal protection, otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.” And the Lord said, “Hear what the unrighteous judge said; “now, will not God bring about justice for His elect who cry to Him day and night, and will He delay LONG over them? “I tell you that HE will bring about justice for them quickly. However when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”

Hidden in this parable are stunning truths about prayer. No matter what circumstance you are facing, do not stop praying because the Lord will answer you lest you wear Him out with your prayers. For that situation in your life, no matter what it is, don’t give up, keep praying. There are many who have prayed for years to see their sons and daughters become born again and saved and have just about given up because they don’t see it happening. Don’t give up, keep praying, you have no idea what God is doing behind the scenes to bring your loved ones into the kingdom. You may even never see it happen while you’re alive, but even after your gone to be with the Lord, your prayers will be answered, they just don’t go away into the cosmos. Revelation says the prayers of the saints (believers) are captured and held. “….the twenty-four elders fell down before the lamb, each one holding a harp and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.”(Rev 5:8) and again in 8:3 it reads, “ Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne.” And finally “And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand.” Stop and think about this; your prayers go before the throne of God and never forgotten.

All the weeping and heartbreaks you have experienced while on this earth are not forgotten because Messiah Jesus loves you so much. Psalm 56:8 states, “you have taken account of my wanderings; put my tears in a bottle. Are they not in your book?

Perhaps you have or know someone close to you who have issues like drinking, doing drugs, pornography, illicit sex, hate or unforgivenes and the list goes on and on. Perhaps your marriage is deep trouble. Maybe you are losing your home. Maybe you have lost your job or have don’t have enough money to pay your bills. Your doctor could have given you bad news or you’re facing death due to your health. Listen, God still loves you and has not forgotten you. Jesus is still Lord and King of Kings and the bible is still the word of God, Jesus is the word and the truth and the life. He promised HE will never leave you nor forsake you, ever! Don’t stop praying, don’t give up now.

And when you pray forgive. Forgive from your heart so that times of refreshing may come to you and your Father in heaven will also forgive your sins. “Sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.”(Romans 6:14)

Remember? Will not the God of the elect bring about justice for HIS own? He will, count on it.

“What is the source of quarrels and conflicts among you? Is not the source your pleasures that wage war in your members? You lust and do not have; so you commit murder. You are envious and cannot obtain; so you fight and quarrel. You have not because you do not ASK. You ask and do not receive, because you ask with WRONG MOTIVES, so that you may spend it on your pleasures. You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is HOSTILITY TOWARD GOD? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an Enemy of God. (James 4)

Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE RECEIVED THEM, AND THEY WILL BE GRANTED YOU! (Mark 11:24)

And if you have not done so believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your entire household……..

Salvation is not about “You”

Salvation is not about “You”

The reason many people have uncertainty about where they will spend eternity is rooted in the very sin of pride in the form of self-righteousness. I’m sure this has come out of left field to almost everyone reading this blog and the majority has never ever thought of pride as the reason for someone doubting their salvation. This is a very dangerous place to be and everyone should judge their hearts in this matter to see where they stand.

Salvation has never been about me or you, it’s always been about God’s love for us sending His only begotten Son to die in our place and shed His blood to wash away our sins (Matthew 26:28). It’s about God’s wonderful mercy and grace and about Jesus giving up His life while we were still sinners to redeem us and bring us to heaven to live with Him for eternity. When people turn inward, they become self-righteous like the Pharisees were in Jesus day. To them it was about what they could do and had to do to gain eternal life, but never totally depending on God’s grace to set them free.

Here’s the deal; God sent His law to show us that we could never be sinless and keep His commandants and that we need a Savior or there is little hope. The self-righteous attitude is this: I got this, I can do this on my own by just following the rules and if you don’t follow the rules you will be lost. Now get you bible out and start banging everyone you see on the head! I got it and you don’t and you better listen to me. Regardless of the denomination or the group involved, everyone thinks they have the truth or correct biblical doctrine. The Baptist believes you can’t lose your salvation which is true unless you totally renounce Jesus and walk away forever knowing what you’re doing, and then there no longer remains grace for you and it is impossible to renew you again to salvation. It doesn’t mean that someone who has fallen away like the prodigal son did can’t come back to God, because once a son always a son. The Assembly of God came up with the term “backslider” and teach that you can be lost if you have any un-confessed sin in your life when you die. This is totally against what the word teaches because Jesus died once for all. He is not going to die again and you can’t be born again every time you sin. What you can do is ask forgiveness and it’s forgiven. However; the blood of Jesus constantly cleanses you from sin or no one would ever make it into heaven. We sin all the time, everyday and most of us don’t even know we are sinning, like not loving our neighbors or turning away from someone in need etc.  Anything not done in faith is sin the bible says, so there you go, no one is immune to that. The Church of Christ says you must be baptized to enter heaven but also put loads of other works you must also do in order to get there. Just like the letter written to the Galatians, they are bewitched, having started in the Spirit, but then walking in the flesh denying God’s power living self-righteous lives and never coming to an understanding of the born again experience that Jesus said must happen, never speaking about grace or faith, but like the  Pharisees of old, they follow the rules and no change ever takes place in the heart for most. The Catholic Church is also very legalistic and full of rituals that mean absolutely nothing but to the Priest. Many masses in those churches don’t even talk in the same language the people understand and they rarely teach anyone how to get saved or born again if ever. Praying to Mary who is not God is so off the charts when never does the bible teach that. Memorized confessions of Hail Mary’s, not from the heart, doesn’t clean anyone’s sin.  Then there are numerous other churches with list too long to name who do nothing but teach good little social messages devoid of the Spirit while accepting any and all comers teaching all religions lead to God which is pure demonic heresy.  Many occult practices are prevalent and the lies of Islam are also accepted to their shame. Houses of political propaganda and denying even the deity of Jesus Christ, these churches are not churches at all, but houses of the enemy, spewing lies and deceiving multitudes of people.

Many, many people are born again and saved in the named churches above and many want to do what’s right in the sight of God. There are lost and saved in most all churches. So what is the difference and what does the bible really say? The ones born again are those who are not trusting in anything or anyone but Jesus Christ as their Savior, those who have called out to God in true repentance and confessed that Jesus is Lord and the Messiah and believe God raised Him from the dead and believe that Jesus blood cleanses us from all sin have salvation. The others are the self-righteous ones depending on themselves and what they did or are doing or can do, instead of Jesus and Him alone. (Just like I used to do) Here are some things for you to consider.

Understanding grace removes the legalistic performance mentality and sets you free. Pure and simple, salvation is a gift period, it has nothing to do with your performance, it’s a gift so no man can boast. In today’s vernacular it’s like take it, its free and shut up your bragging about how much you’ve done, your goodness is filthy rags to God. God is not going to love you any more or do anything more because He’s already done it for you. He is waiting for you to acknowledge that fact. You can’t get God to love you more than He does at this very moment. His love is everlasting which means without conditions forever so stop trying to do things that you think will make God love you more. He did not spare His own son, but gave Him up for you! Grace is unearned, underserved, unmerited favor and you got it directly from God if you will just believe by faith! And what is faith? It is not something you do to get a positive response out of God. Faith is simply your positive response to what God had already done by grace. Faith believes that God is who He said He is and rewards those who believe His word. Oh many say “I believe God can do anything” but they don’t believe God will do anything for them personally. Yes He will! Its unbelief that stops your salvation, your healing, your prosperity, or any answer to your prayers! Why do people even pray if all they do is beg God in unbelief? Hoping and a wishing ain’t gonna get the job done. Praying in faith believing will.

It’s not a lack of faith that causes prayers to go unanswered; everyone has a measure of faith. Its unbelief and being double minded tossed to and fro wavering in your belief system or what you were taught instead of believing what the bible says is the problem. Unbelief comes from your “thought process”. Faith comes from your heart and the knower inside your spirit knows. Three types of unbelief are: (1) Ignorance-due to lack of knowledge(2) disbelief- being taught wrong(3) natural unbelief-using your senses and walking by what you see instead of walking by faith no matter what’s in the natural. Fasting and prayer gets rid of unbelief.

Take the load off and rest in Jesus and you’ll stop fretting about everything and have peace even in the storm. “We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ ONCE FOR ALL. But this Man (Jesus), after He had offered one sacrifice for sins FOREVER, sat down at the right hand of God. For by one offering He has perfected FOREVER those who are being sanctified. (Hebrews 10) Your sins are forgiven forever, and ever, all sins past present and future! How many of your sins were in the future when Jesus died? All of them! Are you born again? Do you know your spirit has changed at some point in your life? You must be born again of the Spirit of God to see the Kingdom of Heaven!

Who also has SEALED us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a GUARANTEE” (2 Cor 1:22). In Him we have redemption through HIS BLOOD, the forgiveness of sin, according to the riches of His Grace.”(Eph 1:7) “In Him you also trusted, after heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having BELIEVED, you were SEALED with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the GUARANTEE of our inheritance …”(Eph1:13,14) “ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you  were SEALED for the day of redemption.” (Eph 4:30)

Do you get it now? When you receive the Holy Spirit after believing with all your heart and confessing Jesus as Lord, God seals you spirit by the Holy Spirit and nothing can penetrate your born again spirit, no sin, nothing! It’s your flesh that sins but your spirit is sealed by God forever. That’s why all true believers go to heaven and there is no sin in your sealed spirit as no sin can enter heaven. Our sealed spirit is our guarantee! Then after the Gentiles received the spirit, they were baptized in water just like the early believing Jews as Christ commanded. And the eunuch got saved and was baptized by confessing believing with all his heart and confessing “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.”  And Peter said “Of Him all the prophets bear witness that through His name everyone who believes in Him RECEIVES FORGIVENESS OF SINS.” (Acts 10:43)

If you know you are truly born again, then your spirit bears witness of this fact. If not, are you willing to stake your eternal soul on your current belief? It’s not about you, it’s about what Jesus did for you, it’s a gift, take it by calling out to Jesus and confess Him as the Son of God and ask Him to save you and baptize you in the Holy Spirit. Then get baptized as Jesus commanded……

False Conversions; the Reason for Failure

False Conversions; the Reason for Failure

So many people of my baby boomer generation have failed at living a life of a true disciple of Christ and walking in honest Christianity, it boggles the mind knowing that so many failed in their attempt to find God. Included in that group is yours truly, until I finally figured it out for myself with the urging of the Holy Spirit and God’s wonderful grace and sincere study of the bible.

Like so many youth, most want to sow their wild oats and their whole attention is given to their education and job and future with little regard for walking in the direction that God had planned for our lives. Today it’s even much worse than my days of growing up. Statistics prove that those who have attended church growing up, over 92% walk away from God in their twenties and go their own way. Those attending a state college or university the number reach something close to 98%. What does that say about our Churches and leaders? What it says is that the true gospel of Jesus Christ was not taught and another false gospel of prosperity and the feel good gospel (come to Jesus and everything will be alright) was and is being taught from the pulpits across our land. Or perhaps religions of rules and ordnances which can never be obtained keeping people under bondage causing them to just plain give up. A gospel of false grace teaching people just do whatever you want, without the deep true repentance from the heart.

There is no question that our lack of knowledge destroys us and letting our ears be tickled with the feel good gospel or the prosperity gospel soaking in all the lies of pastors instead of studying and checking out the bible to see if these things are true, has doomed thousands perhaps millions to a false feeling of salvation. You know there is a reason that Jesus will say “Not everyone who says to Me Lord, Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my father who is in heaven will enter. Many will say to Me on that day, Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles? And then I will declare to them, “I never knew you: depart from Me, you who Practice lawlessness.” I’m sure many don’t want to hear this, but eternity awaits you and you better examine yourself to see if you name is written in the book of life.

Millions have gone to crusades and churches and walked down the aisle and made a confession of Jesus Christ without any form of repentance from their heart first. Millions have been led to believe that Christianity doesn’t cost you anything, even though Jesus said count the cost and unless we pick up our cross and follow Him daily, we are not worthy of His kingdom. It costs you something to know Jesus and live it in life. It might cost you persecution at your job or home or from members of your own family. It may cost you your ego and the embarrassment of not joining the crowd and being looked at like your some kind of bible banger. If you are seriously embarrassed about confessing Jesus in Public or to friends or family or cower when you should speak up about Jesus, then there are serious doubts if you are even born again! Examine yourself and count the cost and get the heart of a Lion and be the witness God expects you to be! Many of those who had a false conversion go right back to their sins before the false conversion took place. Are you still living in sin? Are you still doing the same things you did before? If you are, why? Perhaps you were never really born again and saved.

Millions have been led to belief that doing things for God saves them. Many believe that if they are baptized they are saved. Millions struggle to live right by the rules of their church and fail miserably in their personal life because they have been taught a false religion of living by the law, not grace, living by the spirit of religion which leads to bondage and failure.  And millions have personally just given up because they just can’t do it. They have given up on God, given up on churches, given up on salvation because in their minds they are just not worthy and they just can’t live as they are expected to. If you’re in this place right now, that’s a good thing because now you know it’s impossible and now you can let go of yourself and let God do a work in you, finally!

In a nutshell, the simple true gospel of salvation is this. God gave man the Old Testament (the first covenant) and the ten commandants to show men and women that it is impossible to live by the law. No one can do it, that’s the point! We are all sinful and sin and were born in sin. There is none righteous, not one, so take your eyes off any human or pastor or any person for that matter. If you break just one of the Ten Commandants you are guilty of all the bible says. Have you ever lied? Yes you have, so you have broken the law of God. Have you ever looked on someone and lusted after them? Yes you have, so in your heart you committed adultery in your heart and have broken the entire law of God. So if God is pure and holy and just what should your punishment be? Hell of course, you are condemned to the lake of fire at the end of your life. But what if someone could take your place and give you eternal life in heaven to live forever with God? That is exactly what Jesus did! God so loves us that He gave His only begotten Son for us, and who ever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life!

Who cares where you have been or done in your life? God cares. He is not willing for anyone to be lost, but it’s totally up to you. No matter how you have blown it; no matter what your sins have been, Jesus died once for you and for all for the whole world! How many of humanities future sins did Jesus die for? All of them! All of your sins were in the future when Jesus shed His blood on the cross for your sins. All of your sins past and current and future were paid for by Jesus. If all sins were not paid for then no one could enter heaven because sin cannot enter the kingdom of God! Your spirit is sealed by the Holy Spirit for the day of redemption says Ephesians 4:30, what a wonderful thing. It’s our flesh and the world and the devil that we have to overcome. And Jesus said take heart, I have overcome the world. Jesus defeated Satan and he is able to bring you home into His kingdom. The devil is already a defeated foe, and can do nothing to you that you don’t allow by your sin or deception. Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, period!

So if Jesus said you must be born again, how does that happen? How can you be saved? Trust in Him! Repent of your sins! Confess Him as Lord! Live for Him from now on, forget your past mistakes and sins! How do you do this and know it is real? Bow you head and pray from your heart with all your heart, “Father, I have sinned so much in my life and I am so sorry I have not lived for you. I ask forgiveness of my sins and I believe Jesus died for me and rose again and paid the penalty for my sins. I know Jesus is the Messiah and your Son and is Lord. I give you my whole heart, my whole life, do what you will with me and guide me. Please Jesus, come into my heart and life and live in me and save me. Holy Spirit, you are welcome and I ask you to fill me with the power of God from on high. Thank you God for loving me so much and not giving up on me. Thank you Jesus for loving me enough to die for me. Amen”

If you meant it with your whole heart and mind, then, you are now saved and born again. You should feel a lifting of sin and burdens you’ve been carrying. Now do what Jesus commanded and get baptized and tell others of God’s grace and mercy. Expect miracles in your life trust in Jesus everyday and do not be ashamed to call Him Lord and King of Kings. Jesus said whoever confesses me before men I will confess before my father who is in heaven. What a wonderful joy that will be……….

Accept being Accepted

Accept being Accepted

Do you strive to Trust God or strive to please God?

Both trusting God and pleasing God are admirable qualities, but the day will come when you have to choose only one as your main motivation in life. Most pick pleasing God and this is what is hammered out in most churches, but it is the wrong road. We will eventually come to a place in our lives when we cry out to God. We have run out of all the answers, we have run out of our own abilities, we have even run out of our dreams trying to please God when we all discover sooner or later that we just can’t do it. We doubt if God even really cares and lose confidence that a close walk with Him is even possible. Then we finally discover what we needed all along; is the Grace to trust Him more.

To trust God is to please Him! Hebrews chapter 11 says without faith it is impossible to please Him. Our primary motive in life is to Trust God and when we do, He is wonderfully pleased with us and moves on our behalf. Pleasing God is the outcome of trusting Him. We must learn to give our full control away to Him and become totally vulnerable to Him. Religion tells us that right behavior plus less bad behavior = godliness and favor. However that theology sets us up for failure and will sabotage our journey in life. We can never resolve our sin by works or trying to sin less to keep us from sinning more in the future. Un-resolved sin comes in two forms; when we sin we receive guilt that leads to depression left unresolved. The second form is of sin is Hurt, when others sin against us producing anger and rage left unresolved by unforgiveness. Blame, fear, denial, and shame become our constant companions.

All your efforts in life of trying to be and do good will ultimately leave you broken, defeated, lonely and full of despair in the twilight of your lives if not sooner. Embracing the theology of trying to be good, placing all your efforts on trying to please God instead of trusting God will leave you empty and doubting the very existence of a close walk with God even being possible. Pleasing God is a great motivation, but it is the fruit or result of trusting God! We will never please God by our own efforts no matter how noble they are; we can only please God by trusting Him. Then we become godly when our faith is totally in Him and Him alone.

We are the righteousness in Christ, not in ourselves! We need a Savior and Lord every minute of every hour of everyday. Our minds and hearts must stay on Him and His word knowing we trust Him in all things. Then we can pull off the mask of pretending everything is alright to all those around us and confess we are blessed and we trust God to deliver us and pull us out of any circumstance or problem or troubled waters in our lives. Our identity is in Jesus and our life is hidden with Him the word says. God addressed the issue of who we are, not the world or the devil or religion for that matter. We have been bought with a heavy price, the blood of Jesus Christ and our spirits are sealed with Him for the day of redemption (Eph 4:30). We will always struggle with our flesh and sin but our spirit is born again, holy and acceptable to our Lord and forever sealed and sin cannot touch our spirit.

The great disconnect is actually thinking we can achieve godliness and get God to love us more through striving to live good and do good works, but we are saved by grace through faith and we are no match for sin. That is exactly what God knew and sent His only begotten Son Jesus to die for us and shed His blood on the cross. Jesus paid our penalty of death in full! God will never love you any more or any less than He does right this very minute. Now, that’s a wonderful thing; God is not mad at you! We too will rise because Jesus rose from the dead! The bible teaches “sin shall not be master over you” why? Because where sin abounds, so much more does His grace abound. Stop being afraid of sin or making a mistake. Besides Jesus blood covers all sin past, present and future! You will overcome because Jesus overcame the world. If you trust God and meditate on Him and His word, you will not go on sinning, it’s impossible. Jesus came to take away the sins of the world not to beat us up for sinning; He offers a way out, by giving our whole heart and life to Him and trusting Him.

Trust opens a way up for God to mature you and bring you to full maturity in Christ Jesus. If you don’t or won’t trust Him; you cannot mature because your focus is wrong. So change your focus to trusting. Living in trust and allowing His grace to remove all condemnation allows His grace to work in your life through the Holy Spirit and do things in your life that you never dreamed possible or even imagined to do by yourself. Please don’t get caught up in placing obedience before trust and lock your mindset into obeying to please God to earn His favor. God says obedience is better than sacrifice and faith (trust) is the only way to please Him. Believe we are who God said we are, His Saints. Trust and obey God not the other way around. Faith and grace will bring us home and keep us able to stand before a loving God who gave His life just for us who believe.

Remember God forgives when you ask and forgets your sins and remembers them  no more. Is God a liar? No way, God is not a man that He can lie. So why are you still asking for forgiveness for things God has forgotten about? He has no idea what you’re talking about. He said “I will remember their sins no more.” Stop it will you please and put your prayer energy into something more fruitful like praying for your family and country. Accept your Accepted! Accept you’re forgiven, Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Accept yourself as forgiven and stop beating yourself up day and night. Stop trying to perform for God and start trusting Him in all things and He will show you what to do. Your willpower is no power. You and I can’t do anything without Christ, as it is written “All things are possible through Christ” Remember Trust Him, believe His word, Trust Him and He will direct your paths………..
